This is a one session class: Sunday, March 2nd, 3-5pm

Prerequisites: This is a beginning level class, no experience necessary

Beginning Spinning on a Drop Spindle: You already love yarn, so why not try making your own? In this class you will learn how to spin on a drop spindle and make a 2-ply yarn. We will go over a couple different ways to hold the fiber, lots of tips and tricks for spinning a sturdy single and hassle-free plying, and how to finish your new yarn.

Materials: A kit of the required materials (a spindle, medium-staple wool roving in undyed plus a choice of dyed colors, and two terracotta pots to use while plying) will be available for purchase on the first day of class for $20.
