This is a 2 session class: Thursday, March 6th and Thursday, March 13th, 6-8pm

Prerequisites: This is an intermediate class, you should already know how to cast on, knit, and purl

Toe-Up Socks at Any Gauge: Working socks from the toe up is a great method if you want to check the fit as you go or make sure you don't run out of yarn! We'll use a sock formula to create custom socks with a short-row toe and heel. This class is recommended for people who have knit top-down socks in the recent past.

Materials: 100-150 grams worsted weight yarn (preferably superwash wool with 10-15% nylon), double-pointed/magic loop/2 circular needles in size that gives a firm fabric.

Homework: Please knit a 3-4” square gauge swatch in stocking stitch, ideally swatching in the round, and bring it to class. Check that the fabric feels nice and dense for long-lasting socks, and if not, try again with a smaller needle. Please also be sure that you are comfortable knitting in the round with your choice of double-pointed/magic loop/2 circular needles.
