This is a one session class: Thursday, February 27th, 6-8pm

Prerequisite: This is an intermediate class, you should already know how to cast on, knit, and purl

Crocheted Edgings for Knitters: Crocheted edgings have lots of potential, and can add either a clean finish or a fancy detail to all kinds of projects. We’ll work four different edgings, from the clean finish of single crochet, to shell stitch, and two kinds of picots.

Students should bring: blocked, knitted swatch in stockinette stitch that measures about 4 inches square in a smooth, easy-to-see yarn, 30 yards of the same or similar yarn, crochet hook in an appropriate size for your yarn, darning needle, and scissors.

Note: you can knit a swatch specifically for this class or repurpose an old gauge swatch, but please do not bring one with any edging or selvedge stitches. If making a swatch specifically for class, cast on 20-30 stitches, work in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, then purl 1 row) for about 4”, bind off loosely

Ages 13+

Please note that the deadline to cancel or reschedule is 48 hours before the class time.
